    In-Person Conference:

As the leader in funding grief support services for bereaved children in the Pacific Northwest, Safe Crossings Foundation (SCF) presents the 11th Annual Northwest Conference on Childhood Grief in partnership with The Journey Program at Seattle Children’s Hospital. This one-day conference advances our vision that all grieving children receive the emotional support they need to heal and thrive after the death of a loved one. We invite you to join us for professional development, community-building, networking and learning with others who provide services to grieving children.

This year’s conference is designed to support professionals such as clinicians, therapists and counselors, therapists-in-training, teachers, school staff, and healthcare workers. Continuing education credits are available for professional development needs.

    Goals for Conference:
    • Articulate new information on best practices in responding to and caring for grieving children in therapeutic, educational, medical and community settings.
    • Implement new tools and skills to support grieving children.
    • Identify resources and programs available to grieving children to support referrals and networking.
    • Identify strategies to increase access to timely, high-quality and culturally relevant grief support services for grieving children in our region and opportunities to support local advocacy efforts.
