Abby Brockman, MDiv, BCC, is a trauma chaplain with extensive expertise in pediatric grief, sudden and unexpected death, and supporting mental health and suicidality. She is deeply committed to bridging personal grief with collective, social, and political dimensions and advocating for a shift from atomized, compartmentalized care to a more holistic and systemic approach. Raised in Seattle, she earned her undergraduate degree from McGill University in Montreal and went on to graduate with a Master of Divinity from Boston University. She then completed a clinical internship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, a clinical residency at the VA Hospital in Seattle, and spent five years as an inpatient chaplain at Seattle Children’s Hospital. She now serves as a Bereavement Clinician with the Journey Program and maintains a private grief counseling practice.
